NELLIE A. ZWEIFEL

Nellie A. Zweifel, age 53, of Kahoka, MO, passed away Saturday, November 22, 2014 in Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, MO surrounded by her family.

Nellie was born April 8, 1961 in Kirksville, MO, a daughter of Eli "Buster" and Mildred Morrison Parrish.

Nellie graduated from Gorin High School as Salutatorian of her class.

On October 8, 1978, she was united in marriage to Carl Zweifel and they were parents of a daughter, Cora.

Survivors include her husband, Carl, of the home; daughter, Cora (Mrs. Jeff) Webster of Overland Park, KS; two grandchildren, Finley and Kellan Webster; her mother, Mildred Parrish of Gorin, MO; a brother, Mike (Diane) Parrish of Gorin, MO, a sister, Dixie Parrish of Gorin, MO; as well as several aunts, nephews and nieces, cousins and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her father; two sisters, Melba and Wilma Parrish; and two nephews, Josh and Scott Pinson.

Nellie was a former employee of the Clark Co. Nursing Home; later working for Palmyra Savings Bank for a number of years and then as a cook at Clark Co. R-1 High School. She was currently a part-time employee of Farm Bureau Insurance.

Nellie enjoyed going drag racing with Carl, attending yard sales, and reading. Each year she took her sister, Dixie, to Camp Guardian and enjoyed creating a special experience for her. She loved more than anything spending time with her family.

A Visitation Celebrating her Life will be held Wednesday, November 26, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Kahoka. Private inurnment will be held at a later date in the Kahoka Cemetery.

Memorials in lieu of flowers are suggested to the Sheltered Workshop in Kahoka.
