NORMA E. JOHNSON

Norma E. Johnson, age 95, of Revere, MO, passed away Friday, January 11, 2019, at her home in Revere.

Norma was born July 5, 1923 in Buffalo, NY, a daughter of Clyde and Opal Tippen Brown.

She was married to Robert Alan Engles, Sr. and they were the parents of three sons, Robert, James and Norbert. She later married Jack Donald Johnson who preceded her in death.

Survivors include two sons, James (Ellen) Engles of Revere, MO and Norbert Engles of Greenfield, IA; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Engles of Greenfield, IA; eight grandchildren and their families: Jason Engles and Andy Engles, both of Greenfield, IA; Heather (Kevin) Burg of Atlantic, IA, Melinda (Bryce) Garrison of Middlesex, NJ, Jamie Engles of Atlantic, IA, Heather Scigliamo of Kahoka, MO, Robbie Engles of Greenfield, IA, and Nichole (Javier) Vasquez of Mt. Ayer, IA; as well as nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack; a son, Robert; and a grand-daughter, Jamie Nichole Johns.

Norma graduated from high school in Buffalo, NY. For many years she owned and operated "The Hideaway" in Greenfield, IA. She was an avid bowler, and for many years bowled an average of three nights a week. She had moved to Revere two and a half years ago to be with her son and daughter-in-law due to her failing health.

Memorial graveside services for Norma Johnson will be held at a later date in Greenfield Cemetery in Greenville, IA.
