Patricia Louise Clifford
Patricia Louise Clifford, age 71, of Kahoka, MO, was born on September 24, 1936 in Gaston, Indiana to Donald Kinder and Lola Turner Kinder and went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 27, 2007 at the St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, Kansas.
On April 8, 1955, she married Dick Clifford in Curtisville, Indiana. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2005.
Along with her husband, she served churches in Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas and Missouri for 50 years. In addition to being a minister's wife, she had been a youth worker for many years and had taught numerous Bible studies and Sunday School classes. She had the gift of teaching and also the gift of writing. She wrote many devotional booklets and other Christian articles that were widely disseminated. She was featured in a program on a local radio station and another one on the WTJR television station in Quincy, Illinois.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by four sons: Randi and his wife, Diana, of Salina, Kansas, Kevin and his wife, Carol, of Great Bend, Kansas, and Rodney and Christopher both of Kahoka. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Kyle, Andy, Danny, Stephanie, Michelle and Dylan. In addition, she is survived by eight brothers and sisters: Bill, Jay, Peggy, Linda, Larry, Les, Jim and Chris. She is also survived by a number of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents and two favorite aunts, Charlotte Yarling and Orpha McCorkle.
The first passion of Pat's life was to minister love to other people, first to her family and to those in her Christian family and to all people that she met in life. Her next great passion was to teach the Word of God so that all might know the greatness and goodness of God.
A Celebration of Life was held Saturday, December 1, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Kahoka Christian Church. Graveside services and burial were held Monday, December 3, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. at the Curtisville Cemetery in Curtisville, Indiana.
Memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to the family.
