She was born on January 29, 1955, in Petaluma, California to Milton Addison Harris and Ruby Alice (Donaldson) Harris. Patty married Roger Christy on October 31, 1975, in Kahoka, Missouri.
Patty and Roger were partners in everything and worked at their business side by side. Patty even drove a truck with Roger from time to time and there weren’t many obstacles that Patty didn’t size up and overcome in her life.
Patty was a force to be reckoned with and a kind, generous soul. She loved to travel, especially to Branson, Missouri, and Texas. She would often go fishing, (baited hook or not) and loved horses, and anything country and cowboy. Patty could sew, crochet, and garden with the best of them and there will never be another lady quite like Patty.
Patty is survived by three daughters; Lori Hanley of Nashville, Tennessee, Lynn Schwab of Alexandria, Missouri, and Tammy Richardson of Wever, Iowa, two sons; Ronald Christy of Fort Madison, Iowa, and Robert Langston of Texas; 13 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. Patty loved her service dog Daisy and treated all her furry friends as one of the family.
Patty is preceded in death by her husband, Roger; her parents; her brother Richard Harris and her sister Vicki (Harris) Delaney.
The family would also like to acknowledge several important people in Patty’s life. Steve (Donna) Watson of San Angelo, Texas, a niece; Nadine Burgtorf of Michigan, nephews; Stoney (Kelsey) Harris of El Dorado, Texas, Lee Harris of Texas, Brandon (Ashley) Delaney of San Angelo, Texas; her aunt and uncle; Kyle & Elaine Donaldson of Sonora, Texas, and her special friends; companion Jerry Thorn of Alexandria, Missouri, and Lonnie Meeks of San Marcos, Texas.
There will be a celebration of Patty Christy’s life at 11:00am, on Friday, June 23, 2023, at Wilson & Triplett Funeral Home in Kahoka. Pastor Daniel Fox will officiate.
Memorials in Patty’s name are directed to Wilson & Triplett Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
