PATTY L. LONDRIE

Patty L. Londrie, age 67, of rural Kahoka, MO, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2019 while a patient at Blessing Hospital in Quincy.

Patty was born March 5, 1952 in Memphis, MO, a daughter of John and Cathern Dean Huston.

Survivors include her mother, Cathern of Kahoka; two sons, Joey (Amanda) Huston of West Point, IA, and Bryan (Mary) Londrie of Kahoka; eight grandchildren: Syerra Huston of Keokuk, Savannah, Skyler and Spencer Huston of Hamilton, Acacia, Johnny and Aubrianna Wilson, all of West Point and Devon Londrie of Blairstown, IA; two great grandchildren: Eli Huston and Lila Schleidt; sisters and brothers: Cindy Martin (Gerald Ewart), Beth (Gail) Hopkins, Terry (Lisa) Huston and David (Kris) Huston all of Kahoka and Vickie (Doug) Matlick of Keokuk; aunts and uncle: Mary Jo Howell of Kahoka and Pauline Cordray and Marvin Sederburg both of Luray; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her father and a brother, John Huston, Jr.

Patty attended Clark Co. R-1 Schools. She was a nurse’s aid in the area for many years until retiring due to a foot injury. She was a natural caretaker and loved running errands for others or doing whatever she could to make their lives easier. As the oldest sibling in the family she loved to "mother" them and help babysit and care for her nieces and nephews, each whom she loved dearly.

Patty’s wonderful attitude, continuous smile, and nurturing characteristic, made her perfect for her job and for nurturing her family.

She loved to knit until it was no longer physically possible, work crossword puzzles, watch westerns, and listen to the old country western music. She had a talent for writing stories and poems.

Funeral services were held Monday, March 18, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Kahoka with Kim McNamar officiating. Burial followed in the Kahoka Cemetery.
