Ralph Nichols, 77, of Williamstown, Missouri, passed away at 6:20am on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois.
Ralph was born in Williamstown, Missouri on April 6, 1947, to Reuben and Viva Belle (Brookhart) Nichols. Ralph was a graduate of Williamstown High School, Class of 1964. Ralph married Sandra Brown on August 10, 1968, and they were together for almost 56 years. Ralph was a skilled carpenter and woodworker who left a legacy of beautiful work for his family and friends to enjoy. Ralph was also a welder and a farmer and was the past president, along with his wife Sandra, of the Eagles Lodge in 2000. He and Sandra made several trips together to Black Hills and the love and memories of Ralph will be cherished by all who knew him.
Ralph is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Sandra, his son, “Ted” (Deanna) Nichols of Wentzville, MO; daughter Victoria (Shawn) Schorr, of Mapleton, IL; grandchildren, Cordero Nichols, Stephanie Janes, Melissa (Ben) Anderson, Danielle (Cody Spirling) Schorr, Dallas Schorr, Andrew Nichols, Hannah Nichols, Jael Nichols, Luke Nichols, Micah Nichols, and Moriah Nichols; great-grandchildren Asher Anderson, Ever Anderson, Lyla Rae Janes, Bethanie Janes, Emerson Cipale, Bristol Spirling, and Mila Spirling; sister Karen (Ralph) Bradshaw.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents and stillborn son from his prior marriage; and son Christopher Nichols; brothers Lawrence and Harold Nichols; one sister, Sarah Smallwood, and an infant sister, Rachel Nichols.
Funeral Services for Ralph Nichols will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at the Wilson & Triplett Funeral Home in Kahoka, Missouri. Matt Gutting will officiate. A burial will follow at the Williamstown Cemetery, Williamstown, Missouri. Visitation with family present will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2024, from 1:00 pm until time of service at 2:00 pm at Wilson & Triplett Funeral Home. Memorials contributions in memory of Ralph are suggested to First Baptist Church of Kahoka Parking Lot Fund, Blessing Hospital Infusion Center, Leukemia/Lymphoma Society or QMG Infusion Center.
