ROBERT J. PFIEFFER

Robert J. Pfeiffer, age 76, of Wayland, MO, passed away on Tuesday, March 30, 2004 at the Clark Co. Nursing Home in Kahoka.

He was born May 3, 1927 near Wyaconda, MO, a son of Raymond and Ina Kerner Pfeiffer.

Survivors include a sister-in-law, Wilma Pfeiffer, of Peoria, IL; a niece, Julie Pfeiffer of Chicago, IL; as well as several cousins; and many friends who he cared deeply about.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Eldon.

Robert graduated from Wayland High School. He had farmed all of his adult life near Wayland until retiring several years ago. He took great pride in farming and in caring for his machinery. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Wayland and had been active in the Wayland Volunteer Fire Department. He had enjoyed building model airplanes and was a familiar figure around Wayland on his scooter as he made his various stops to visit with friends.

Funeral services are Friday, April 2, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Wayland, MO with Rev. Dan Deatrick officiating. Burial will be in Kahoka Cemetery. Friends can call at Wilson Funeral Home in Kahoka after 9 a.m. on Thursday with family receiving friends from 5-7 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the Wayland Fire Department or the Wayland First Baptist Church.
