ROWDY A. REDDING

Rowdy Allen Redding, age 49, of Kahoka, MO, died Friday, September 28, 2012 in the emergency room of Keokuk Area Hospital.

Rowdy was born May 6, 1963 at Moberly, MO, a son of Ronald Cook and Carol Dochterman Redding.

He married Erin McInerney and they were the parents of two sons, Bo and Cruz.

Rowdy is survived by his sons, Bo Redding of Kahoka, MO and Cruz Redding of Kirksville, MO; his mother and step-father, Carol and Norman Pitford of Kahoka, MO; step-mother, Mary Redding of Palmyra, MO; two brothers, Rick Redding of Kahoka, MO and Rusty (Stacie) Redding of Osage, MO; two half brothers, R. P. Redding of Palmyra, MO and Brandt (Cassie) Baker of Bonaparte, IA; a half sister, Melissa (Mrs. Jody) Wood of Kahoka, MO; uncles and aunts: Sandra (Mrs. Lee) Stanfield of Dade City, FL, Donnie (Pat) Redding of Pelhan, CA Tommie Redding of Downing, MO, Allen Dochterman and James (Norma Jean) Dochterman, all of Kahoka, MO and Joyce Lincoln of Fairbanks, AK; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his father, and a sister, Dianna.

Rowdy graduated from Revere High School. He joined the U.S. Navy where he advanced very quickly to the rank of Senior Chief. He was very proud to be in the military and spent 20 years serving his country earning medals too numerous to mention.

Rowdy was employed following his retirement from the service at various businesses in the area including Mayberrys in Memphis and Trumps and Balls in Kahoka. He loved to be outdoors. He enjoyed mud runs, 4-wheeling, hunting and anything that kept him outside. He was a loving father and brother and his family was very dear to his heart. He spent his life caring more about others than himself.

Following visitation on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 a eulogy was delivered by his son, Bo, with military rites following.

At his wishes, Rowdy has been cremated and his ashes will be scattered in the ocean which he loved so dearly.

Memorials may be made to his sons to help continue their education.
