RUBY P. DAWSON
Ruby P. Dawson, age 92, of Kahoka, MO, died Saturday, August 13, 2005 at the Clark Co. Nursing Home in Kahoka where she had been a resident the past eight years.
She was born December 20, 1912 in Iowa, the daughter of Charles Wesley and Aurora Klingsmith Courtney.
She and Lovell Dawson were married May 1, 1933 at Carthage, IL. He preceded her in death on April 24, 1979.
Survivors include three daughters, Peggy Hecox of Marlow, OK, Rose Schreiber and her husband, Gale, of Revere, MO, and Lilly Boyer and her husband, Ted, of Mattoon, IL; one brother, David Donald Courtney of Keokuk, IA; one sister, Violet Courtney of Bettendorf, IA; grandchildren: Gary Hecox and his wife, Nancy, of Fort Worth, TX, Mrs. David (Susie) Fletcher of Alvarado, TX, and Mrs. John (Karen) Childers of Marlow, OK; Mrs. Randy (Debbie) Lipper, of Revere, MO, Rick Schreiber of Pleasant Hill, IL, Mrs. Jack (Pam) Fry of Revere, MO, Mrs. Eldon (Pattie)Hopp of Revere, MO, Mrs. Mike (Kim) St. Clair of Kahoka, MO, Mrs. Bernie (Janet) Simpson of Revere, MO, Mrs. Darin (Sandie) Hopp of Kahoka, MO, and, Mrs. Larry (Glenda) Wells of Dahlgren, IL, Mrs. Bradley (Brenda) Morgan of Charleston, IL and Ernie Lee Roberts and his wife, LeeAnn, of Toledo, IL; also several great and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; an infant son; two great grandsons, Austin Hopp and Adam Schreiber; one brother, Burt; and, four sisters, Clythia, Grace, Lena, and Edith.
Ruby was a homemaker her entire life. She loved to embroider and sew and she loved spending time with her family.
Private graveside services are Tuesday, August 16, 2005 at 3:30 p.m. at the Revere Cemetery with Pastor Herb Doty officiating and Mr. Mathew Eder, soloist.
Memorials are suggested to the Revere Cemetery.
