Ryan Douglas Dougherty

February 2, 1979 — February 11, 2025

Ryan Douglas Dougherty of Alexandria, MO, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 11, 2025.

Ryan was born February 2, 1979, in Keokuk, IA, to parents Douglas Dougherty and Becky (Henson) Potter. On October 12, 2013, he married the love of his life, Lana (Pitford) Dougherty. Ryan graduated from Warsaw High School in 1997. He was currently employed by Yetter Manufacturing as an operations manager in Macomb, IL. Ryan served as Treasurer of Keokuk XII and helped bring needed donations to organizations in Clark County. He was actively involved in his daughter's PTO at Running Fox Elementary.

Ryan’s greatest role was that of father and husband. Ryan and Lana’s family was complete when they welcomed their daughter, Maci, into the world on October 27, 2017. Ryan lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures with his family. He was outgoing and always up for anything. He loved finding fun things for Lana and Maci to do, such as taking trips. He loved hosting family and friends. Ryan was a supporter of all his nieces and nephews, always being present and supporting them in everything they did. Ryan made life better for all who knew him. Although Ryan’s life ended before we were ready, the time he spent in our lives was memorable and full of joy.

Ryan is survived by his wife, Lana, and daughter, Maci, of Alexandria, MO; his father, Douglas Dougherty (Pam), of McGaheysville, VA; his mother, Becky (Henson) Potter, of Keokuk, IA; his father and mother-in-law, Tom and Debbie (Butler) Pitford, of Alexandria, MO; his sister, Michelle (Sean) Skinner, of Keokuk, IA; his brother, Steven (Jennifer) Dougherty, of Keokuk, IA; his stepbrothers, Rick, Terry, and Mike Potter, of Burlington, IA; Chris, Travis, and Jacob Wheeler, his brother-in-law, Travis (Jessica) Pitford, of Kahoka, MO; his sister-in-law, Stacia (Clint) Briscoe, of Williamstown, MO; his brother-in-law, Levi (Melissa) Pitford, of Revere, MO; and his nieces and nephews, Sydni (Matt) Skinner, Corey (Emily) Skinner, Andrew Skinner, Carter (Mia) and Caylee Briscoe, Tristen and Emma Pitford, Tuff and Gunnar Pitford.
