SANDRA LEE BOLICK

Sandra Lee Bolick, age 58, of Burlington, IA, formerly of Memphis, MO, passed away unexpectedly early Saturday morning, October 3, 2015, in the emergency room at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington, IA.

Sandy was born October 9, 1956 in Ft. McClellan, AL, an Army Hospital, the oldest daughter of David Dean and Elizabeth Ann Morgan Bolick.

Survivors include Larry Wahl, her life partner of over 20 years, of Burlington, IA; her parents, Dean (Janet) Bolick of Melbourne, FL and Elizabeth Ann Morgan of Columbia, MO; her sisters, Carolyn Paris of Columbia, MO and Barb (Mark) Hewitt of Shawnee, KS; a step-sister, Carol Burns of Melbourne, FL; nieces and nephews, Morgan (Adam) Sachs of Columbia, MO, Tucker Hewitt, of Kansas City, MO, Elle Hewitt of Shawnee, KS and Brock Hewitt, of Shawnee, KS; an aunt, Kay Morgan of Keokuk, IA; cousins and their families, Matthew Morgan of Wheat Ridge, CO, Suzanne Morgan of Tucson, AZ, Brian (Amanda) Bolick of West Des Moines, IA and Sherri Hughes of Bloomfield, IA.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, David and Hazel Bolick and Gene and Helen Morgan; twin brothers, Michael and Stephen Bolick; an aunt, Carolyn Morgan; and two uncles, Bill Morgan and Bill Bolick.

Sandy graduated from Scotland Co. High School in Memphis, MO and from Gem City School of Horology in Quincy, IL. She received a degree as an Electronic Technician at what is now Truman University.

Sandy worked for various jewelry businesses prior to establishing her own custom design and repair business. She was especially skilled at selecting gems that reflected the essence of the person for whom she was designing. The inspired designs and selection of the metals that supported the stones were a further indication of her artistic talent. Sandy also enjoyed oil painting and music.

Sandy had a rich relationship with God, knowing that whatever she needed, God would provide. She and Larry enjoyed the pleasure of traveling throughout the United States on their motorcycles.

Memorial services were held Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at 6 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Kahoka with visitation following the services until 8 p.m. Officiating at the service was Rev. Cleo Kottwitz.

Inurnment was held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Bloomfield, IA.

Memorials were suggested to Blessing Hospital Cancer Center.
