Sheila Miller

Sheila J. Miller, 75, of Kahoka, passed away at 9:11pm on Friday, July 1, 2022, at Scotland County Hospital in Memphis Missouri with her family by her side.

Sheila was born on December 23, 1946, in Waukegan, Illinois to Don Horton Sr., and Helen (Walker) Horton. She married the love of her life, Charles Miller, on April 19, 1966.  Together they raised four children and made a wonderful life together until his passing in 2015.

Sheila worked at Clark County Nursing home as a dietician and was known in Kahoka as “that sweet little lady”. Sheila loved listening to music and could often be seen out and about on her drives through the country, something she would often do with her husband Charles. She loved her dog and her family, and just being happy with the simple things in life. Her sweet, and kind personality was so unique to her, and will be deeply missed.

In addition to her husband, Sheila was predeceased by her parents, and her beloved companion “P” (Prince).

She is survived by her children, Charles (Paula) Miller, of Kahoka, John (Faith) Miller of Revere, Daniel (Mary) Miller, also of Kahoka, and daughter Angela (Roy) Gilbert, also of Kahoka, 9 grandchildren, and 15 (and a half), great-grandchildren; brother Don (Debbie) Horton Jr.; sisters Loretta (John) Foster, of Winthrop Harbor, Illinois, and Carol Ann (Patrick) Haage of Keokuk, Iowa.

Funeral services for Sheila will be held at 10:00am, on Friday, July 8, 2022, at Wilson & Triplett Funeral Home in Kahoka. Public visitation will be between 5:00pm – 7:00pm on Thursday, July 7, 2022, at the funeral home. Interment in Kahoka Cemetery will immediately follow Friday’s service.  Pastor Cynthia Smith officiating.
