Stacy L. Humes, age 48, of Wyaconda, MO, passed away on Monday, March 23, 2020 in Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL.

Stacy was born on September 18, 1971 in Keokuk, IA, a son of Ernest "Doc" and Elizabeth Louise Dalton Humes.

He married Shannon Edwards on June 5, 1999 who survives.

Additional survivors include his sons, Dalton and Brendon Humes of the home; his father, Ernest "Doc" Humes of Wyaconda; sister, Holly (Matthew) Heinze of Kahoka; in-laws: Bill and Maggie Edwards of Nauvoo; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Nikki (Kenny) Hoenig of Montrose and Tim (Haley) Edwards of Nauvoo; nieces and nephews: Clayton and Lauryn Heinze, Lucas Sapp, Ellie, Brodie, and Caleb Edwards and Kallie Harmon; aunts and uncles: Bill and Bonnie Dalton of Memphis, Kathy Hyde of New London, Karyon Elsea of Willmathsville, MO, Sherry Dalton of Luray, Patricia Varnold of Moberly, Dora and Don Fogle of Memphis, Mary Fleer of Quincy, Lois Humes of Wyaconda, and Joanne Humes of Macon; his "little princess" and dear friend, Emory Vawter; as well as cousins and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Louise Humes; grandparents: Ernest and Rhea Stevenson Humes and Delbert Floyd and Opal Irene Aldridge Dalton; one brother, Robby Humes; and other relatives.

Stacy graduated from Clark Co. R-1 High School in 1989. He was an employee of Henniges in Keokuk.

He had a love and knowledge of airplanes, toy tractors and Star Wars which he shared with his sons. He loved riding side by sides with his friends who were his "best buds", working cattle and using cattle and ranching "words". He loved spending time with his sons and shooting with them. He and Brendon shared a love and expertise of World War II era guns.

Due to state and federal guidance on gatherings due to the COVID19 pandemic, there will be no visitation or services at this time. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Memorials are suggested to his sons with checks made payable to Dalton Humes c/o Wilson Funeral Home.
