Todd Rockelman

Todd Ross Rockelman, 63, of Alexandria, MO, passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at his home. He was born February 5, 1961, at Keokuk, IA, a son of Gary R. and Donna S. (Kamps) Rockelman.

On May 28, 1983, he married his love of his life Mary (Soper) Rockelman at the Alexandria Presbyterian Church, and she preceded him in death March 17, 2011. Todd was a captain for the Canton Marine Towing and retired in 2021. He loved his job, the river, and his co-workers. He enjoyed bowling and was even in a bowling league and had several 300 perfect games. He had a passion for the outdoors, he was an avid deer hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed riding his 4-wheeler, and camping along the river with his wife Mary. He was a simple man, loved his family and was a friend to everyone that knew him.

Todd is survived by his daughter; Courtney (Brandon Manton) Rockelman of Alexandria, Mo., his mother; Donna of Keokuk, Ia., 3 grandchildren; Dawn Rockelman, Rosalee Manton and Bexley Manton, 2 brothers; Sean Rockelman and Shane (Heather McCarron) Rockelman, both of Keokuk, Ia., 2 sisters; Cindy (Danny) Buntin of Wayland, Mo., Kirsty (JoJo) Teeters of Alexandria, Mo., 2 brothers-in-law; Jed (Kim) Soper and John Soper both of Alexandria, Mo., 5 sisters-in-law; Evelyn Soper of Kahoka, Mo., Carla Soper of Wayland, Mo. Brenda Soper of Keokuk, Ia., Robin Soper of Kahoka, Mo., Cheri Soper of Warsaw, Il., many nieces and nephews, all who were very special to him; as well as other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gary Rockelman, his stepfather, Jim Teeters, his wife Mary, grandson Ross Rockelman and 3 brothers-in-law, Jeff Soper, Jerry Soper, and Jim Soper.

According to his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Wilson & Triplett Funeral Home in Kahoka, Mo. with inurnment at the Kahoka Cemetery. Pastor Ray Gilbert will officiate. Family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the Wilson & Triplett Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. Following the inurnment, friends are invited to join the family at the Alexandria Community Center for a time of fellowship.
