TREVA MONETA KELLEY

Treva Moneta Kelley, age 76, of Keokuk, IA, formerly of St. Patrick, MO, died Tuesday, November 7, 2006 at Keokuk Area Hospital in Keokuk, IA.

She was born May 26, 1930 at Cerro Gordo, IL, a daughter of Raymond and Hazel Stevens Gentry.

She married Gilbert Lee Kelley on January 8, 1949 at Decatur. He preceded her in death on August 24, 2006.

Survivors include: a son, Raymond Wesley Lee Kelley of Keokuk, IA; a daughter,Deborah Kelley of Keokuk, IA; four sisters: Peggy Hoffman and her husband, Willliam, of Utah, and, Phyllis Anderson, Jill Gentry and Gloria Brown, all of Decatur, IL; four grandchildren: Wesley Rader and Tarris Blankenship of Keokuk, IA, Tyran Jarrell and his wife, Holly, of Hamilton, IL, and Marc Jarrell, of Keokuk, IA; three great-grandchildren: Lexie Jarrell and Treyvin Jarrell of Hamilton, IL and Amya Blankenship of Keokuk, IA; as well as several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a sister, Geraldine Massey.

Treva began work at Dryden's in Keokuk and retired after 40 years of employment. She was a member of the Local 444 Union.

She liked cats and collecting porcelain cats and cats of all kinds. She was a fan of the "wild west" and enjoyed watching western movies, reading Louis Lamour books and listening to Gene Autry and Hank Williams. She also enjoyed collecting albums and embroidering. She especially loved being with her family.

At her request, Treva was accorded cremation rites. A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 11, 2006 at 2 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Kahoka with Rev. Dale Thomas officiating. Memorials in her honor may be made to the family.
