VADA IRENE HEIMER
Vada Irene Heimer, age 74, of Medill, MO, died Wednesday, November 8, 2006 at her home.
She was born March 20, 1932 at Unionville, MO, a daughter of Ernest and Bertha May Medlon Moss.
She married Lawrence Franklin Heimer on November 21, 1952, at Kahoka, and they were the parents of five children. Following their divorce, she met George Protsman in July, 1994, and they had been together since.
Survivors include her companion, George Protsman, of Medill, MO; two sons, Charles F. Heimer and his wife, Carla, of Mississippi, and Lawrence "Ray" Heimer and his wife, Leona, of Medill, MO; three daughters Maxine S. Crackel and her husband, Jerry, of Lake Ozark, MO, Betty L. Armstrong and her husband, Dave, of Eldon, IA, and, Rosie J. Roberts of Medill, MO; fourteen grandchildren: William Edwards, Britney, Tasha, Tommy and Sabrina Heimer, Jerry D. and Destiny D. Roberts, Lucas Armstrong, Tylor and Lloyd Allen Heimer, and
Dale, Joshua, Timothy and Lisa Darland; four step grandchildren: Josiah, Noah, Nick and Caleb Casby; six great grandchildren: Ariana Edwards, Tristen Casby, Lathian Walthes, Krysten Williams, Chloe Casby and Akila Darland; two brothers, Forrest Moss and his wife, Rovene, of Kahoka, MO and Dane Moss of Hannibal, MO; a sister, Osa Clay and her companion, Merle Davis, of Medill, MO; as well as many nieces and nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers and three sisters: twins, Vernie and Vern in infancy, Roy Lee Moss in infancy, Faye Hill and Loraine Moss.
Vada was of the Baptist faith and had been baptized at the Cedar Grove Baptist Church, rural Kahoka over 30 years ago. She was a homemaker and her family was very important to her. She liked to fish, embroider and was an excellent cook. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.
Funeral services are Saturday, November 11, 2006 at 10 a.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Kahoka with Pastor Mark Boley officiating. Burial will follow in Combs Cemetery at
Luray.
Friends can call at Wilson Funeral Home after noon on Friday with family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m.
