VERA J. HEINZE

Vera J. Heinze, age 86, of Kahoka, MO, died Monday, March 8, 2004 in Keokuk Area Hospital.

She was born April 24, 1917 on a farm northwest of Chambersburg, MO, to William and Dorothy McWilliams Hopp.

Vera grew up on the farm where she was born and on November 17, 1951, was united in marriage to George Heinze. They lived on a farm north of Kahoka until moving into town in 1995.

Survivors include her husband, George Heinze; a sister, Madeline Hopp; and, a sister-in-law, Doris Heinze, all of Kahoka, MO; as well as several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister.

Vera graduated from Luray High School and Kirksville State Teacher's College. She was a member of the St. Paul United Church of Christ in Kahoka, the D.A.R., Clark Co. Retired Teachers, and Chapter AW, P.E.O. and was always faithful in her memberships as long as her health permitted. She had taught school for over 40 years and loved teaching and loved her students.

Funeral services are Friday, March 12, 2004 at 1 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Kahoka with Pastor Shawn McAfee officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul Church Cemetery.

Friends can call after 9 a.m. on Thursday with family receiving friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
