VERA C. HULL
Vera C. Hull, age 87, of Wyaconda, MO, died Sunday, December 10, 2006 at the Clark Co. Nursing Home in Kahoka.
She was born March 16, 1919, at Arbela, MO, a daughter of Fred and Annie Goff Adams. She married Frances Q. "Frake" Hull on April 8, 1939, at Kahoka. He preceded her in death on June 3, 1990.
Survivors include two sons, Daryl "Haney Hull and his fiancé, Becky Philp, of Wyaconda, MO, and Dale Hull of Clay Center, KS; a daughter, Frances Darlene Graham and her husband, Ronnie, of Luray, MO; a daughter-in-law, Jean Hull, of Memphis, MO; eleven grandchildren: Alan Hull of Wyaconda, MO, Kathy Pence and her husband, Mitch, of Memphis, MO, Connie Hill of Mt. Sterling, IA, Janie Speer and her husband, Roger, of Luray, MO, Chris Hull and his wife, Marcy, of Hannibal, MO, Ken Hull and his wife, Michella, of Memphis, MO, Casey Hull and his wife, Holly, of Norman, OK, Kerry Cochenour and her husband, Andrew,
of Milton, IA, Melissa Lehman and her husband, Jon, of Clay Center, KS, and, Sara and Megan Hull of Fairfield, IA; eleven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, including a nephew she raised, Jack Roberts, of Mendon, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Eddie Hull; a sister, Ellen Adams Roberts; and a nephew that she raised, Larry Roberts.
Vera graduated from Granger High School in 1938 and attended nursing school at St. Joseph Hospital. Following her marriage she devoted her time to raising her family and working hard as a farm wife. She opened her home to two nephews after her only sister died and also took in other family members and friends from time to time through the years.
She was a member of the Wyaconda United Methodist Church and a fan of Alan Jackson's music and John Wayne movies. Her children and their families were her treasures in
this life.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 15, 2006 at 1 p.m. at the Wyaconda United Methodist Church with Pastor Don Sherwood officiating. Burial will follow in the Kahoka Cemetery.
Friends can call after 9 a.m. Thursday at Wilson Funeral Home in Kahoka with family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the Wyaconda United Methodist Church.
