VEVA K. HALL

Veva K. Hall, age 50, of Revere, MO, died Tuesday, April 7, 2009, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL, following a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born May 3, 1958, in Adair County, MO, the daughter of L. D. and Bertha Mae Stewart Christy.

She married Ron Hall on December 21, 1990, at Keokuk.

Survivors include her husband, Ron, of Revere, MO; her parents, L. D. and Bertha Mae Christy of Revere, MO; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Don and Grace Hall of Keokuk, IA; three sons, Ryan Shannon and Emily Lowe of Des Moines, IA, Jeremy Hobbs and Darcy Nelson of Mt. Pleasant, IA, and Tyler Hobbs; a daughter, Kristy Shannon and Chris Brice of Holiday, FL; four grandchildren: Starlet and Lamby Shannon and Alex and Cody Brice; a sister, Tena (Mrs. Dale) Gorham of Hartford City, IN; a sister-in-law, Brenda Hall of Keokuk, IA; as well as aunts, nieces and nephews, cousins and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents.

Veva graduated from Revere High School in 1976. She was employed as a correction officer at the Iowa State Penitentiary in Fort Madison and was currently on leave due to her deteriorating health. She loved collecting antiques, caring for her flower beds, her grandkids and her dog, Zeus.

There were no formal services. Memorials are requested to the family.
