WILLIAM L. HALL
William L. Hall, age 90, formerly of Luray, MO, died Thursday, December 26, 2013
at the Clark Co. Nursing Home in Kahoka.
Bill was born July 15, 1923 in Clark County, a son of Joseph Franklin and Helen Luell Howell Hall.
Survivors include nieces and nephews: Mary (Mrs. Cork) Garner of Monticello, MO, Janice Schleappe of Gilbert, AZ, Stephen (Debbie) Cole of Overland Park, KS, Larry (Mandy) Cole of Canton, and, Terry Jo (Mrs. Thomas) Pate of Poteau, OK; niece-in-law, Barbara Webber of Kansas City, MO; also several great nieces and nephews and their families.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother in childhood; a sister, Clara Mae Cole; one niece, Beth Ann Mark; and a nephew, Scott Cole.
Bill lived all of his life on the family farm outside of Ashton. He was a former board member of the Clark Co. Fire Corporation and a long-time board member of the Ashton Cemetery. He enjoyed spending time with the Missouri Longriders.
He loved to ride and keep horses. He rode as long as his health permitted. Bill had a wonderful memory and a vast knowledge of past and current affairs. Although he never had children of his own, he was blessed with nieces and nephews and many friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, December 28, 2013 at 2:30 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Kahoka with Pastor Mark Boley officiating.
Burial was in the Ashton Cemetery.
