ZERIDA "RIDA" ELLEN KNOTTS- REED

Zerida "Rida" Ellen Knotts-Reed, age 38, of Wyaconda, MO, died peacefully at home on Tuesday, February 27, 2018. She had recently been diagnosed with cancer.

Rida, the daughter of Carrie Marie Smith and Johnny Edward Dain, was born in Corpus Christi, TX on September 19, 1979.

She spent her childhood living in Flour Bluff, TX, and then moved to Springdale, AR at the age of 8. She attended and graduated high school in Springdale and later attended high school in Morrilton, AR.

Rida is survived by two beautiful daughters, Cheyenne Evans of Kahoka, MO and Ezra Evans of Mt. Pleasant, IA; her mother, Carrie Allen and maternal grandmother, Zerida M. Schroat, both of Avinger, TX; and father, Johnny Dain of Cleveland, TX. She is survived by one sister, Melody Butler of Lincoln, AR, and three half siblings, Billy Dain, Jessica Springer, and Janice Dain, all of Lufkin, TX; and three nieces, Kaela Butler of Siloam Springs, AR, Kelsea Butler of Fayetteville, AR, and Karyssa Butler of Lincoln, AR; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parental grandparents, Ellen Louise Warlick and Ed Dain of Bandera, TX; her step father, Richard Allen of Springdale, AR, and her grandfather, Floyd Schroat of Corpus Christi, TX.

While she dances in heaven, Rida is loved and will be missed by many from all over the US and Canada. She loved being with family and friends and especially loved spending time with her children and just being a mom. She enjoyed taking road trips and collecting angels. She also had a love for all animals, particularly guinea pigs. She recently had a desire to open a shelter for small animals to give them the food and support they needed to find loving homes.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Kahoka with a memorial service immediately following at 2:00 p.m. officiated by Pastor Chris Lind.

Memorials may be made to the family.
