Anna Lucille Logsdon, age 83, of St. Patrick, MO, passed away March 24, 2021, at the University Hospital in Columbia, MO.
Anna was born June 25, 1937, in St. Patrick, MO, the daughter of the late Walter and Rosaline (Moeller) Uhlmeyer. She married Larry Logsdon on June 6, 1959, at the Shrine of St. Patrick.
Survivors include her four sons: Kent (Tammy) Logsdon, of Canton, MO, Jeff (Robin) Logsdon, of Kahoka, MO, Lynn (Kelly) Logsdon, of Kahoka, MO, and Larry Earl (Ann) Logsdon, of Prescott, WI, two daughters; Kim (Larry) Meinhardt, of Kahoka, MO, and Cindy (Greg) Pearl, of Canton, MO; fourteen grandchildren: Cami Logsdon, Kayla (Jason) Wentz, Jessie (Colt) Sommers, Brady (Tyler) Priebe, Brittany (Brock) Egley, Jordan (Savannah) Logsdon, Jeremy (Kate) Logsdon, Katie (Kyle) Nuelle, Kyle (Kourtney Anderson) Meinhardt, Jacklyn (Jacob) Oglesby, Jacob Logsdon, Jared Logsdon, Conner Pearl, and Carley Pearl; nineteen great grandchildren: Kayden and Kielyn Ott, Arilynn Hudson, Lexi and Tucker Wentz, Carter and Jaelyn Sommers, Paityn and Paxton Egley, Elliette Priebe, Adalynn, Norah and Brantley Logsdon, Gabriel and Michael Logsdon, Emma and Claire Nuelle, Jaedin and Kinleigh Oglesby; three step grandchildren: Zach Lewis, Andrea (Austin) Hines, Matthew Lewis; one step great grandchild: Dakota Hines; two sisters: Maxine (Junior) Nichols of Canton, MO and Dorothy Knickrehm of Davenport, IA; one sister-in-law: Nancy Uhlmeyer, as well as many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband Larry, her parents, and siblings and their spouses: Kenneth and Rovene Uhlmeyer, Rosemary Uhlmeyer, Alma and Sam Wiskerchen, Ervin Uhlmeyer, Laveta Pearl and William Ellison, one daughter-in-law, Rebecca Logsdon, and her parent-in-laws, Raymond and Laveta Logsdon.
Anna graduated from St. Patrick High School in 1955. She moved to Quincy and attended Gem City Business School. Her first job was at Pittsburgh Paints as a bookkeeper. A few years later she returned to St. Patrick and married Larry. There they raised six children, and she helped her in-laws with R.C. Logsdon store. She was St. Patrick Postmaster from July 1971-March 1983.
Anna had deep faith in God and was a lifelong member of the Shrine of St. Patrick and Daughters of Isabella. She enjoyed gardening and especially liked to plant flowers. Anna was an avid baker, she baked for her grandchildren, friends, and neighbors regularly. Her love and pride came from her faith in God and her family, especially her grandchildren, which she cared for deeply. Her door was always open to friends, neighbors, and family. She was a grandmother to many outside of the family and will be truly missed by many.
A prayer service was held Friday, March 26, beginning at 5PM and a visitation followed until 7PM at the Shrine of St. Patrick. A Mass of Catholic Burial was held Saturday, March 27, 2021, at 10 AM at the Shrine of St. Patrick. Father Rob Fields officiated the service. Burial followed in St. Patrick Cemetery. Memorials in Anna’s name were suggested to the St. Patrick Cemetery or Londyn Logsdon for her fight with cancer and could be sent to the Wilson and Triplett Funeral Home.
